Launch of The Cross Keys Pub Walks

Look out for the Diss Express on Friday 13th March for the launch of our new series of pub walks. These are tried and tested circular walks that begin and end at The Cross Keys.

For more information see here or view our new page at this link.

The Cross Keys would like to thank Jono and Emma Slack for the imagination and production of these walks.

Rum Smugglers, Thurs 30th Jan

The Rum Smugglers are back for their regular session on 30 January at 8.30 p.m. with sea songs, Irish tunes and a few new additions. All musicians and singers are welcome to join in, so come along, sing along, play along or just tap your foot.

For those romantics among us….

don’t forget Valentine’s Day on Feb 14th!!

The Cross Keys will be celebrating Valentine’s Night with a special menu. This is not, of course, restricted to couples, so if you want to eat with friends that’s fine. We might even set up a singles table if you fancy a blind date!

The Cross Keys welcomes walkers

The Cross Keys is at the centre of a great network of well-maintained footpaths. We’re close to Redgrave & Lopham Fen and the Angles Way, and there are excellent paths joining us to the neighbouring villages of Botesdale, Rickinghall, Hinderclay, Thelnetham and Wortham.

We have had two walking groups booked in for lunch this week and, as well as tasty food they’ll also be able to enjoy a pint of Thwaite’s Wainwright – named after the celebrated fell walker Alfred Wainwright.
