don’t forget Valentine’s Day on Feb 14th!!
The Cross Keys will be celebrating Valentine’s Night with a special menu. This is not, of course, restricted to couples, so if you want to eat with friends that’s fine. We might even set up a singles table if you fancy a blind date!

The Cross Keys is at the centre of a great network of well-maintained footpaths. We’re close to Redgrave & Lopham Fen and the Angles Way, and there are excellent paths joining us to the neighbouring villages of Botesdale, Rickinghall, Hinderclay, Thelnetham and Wortham.
We have had two walking groups booked in for lunch this week and, as well as tasty food they’ll also be able to enjoy a pint of Thwaite’s Wainwright – named after the celebrated fell walker Alfred Wainwright.
The Happy Mondays Real Ale Card is extended to all weekdays for January! Buy 10 pints of real ale, get one free!
We’re looking for a commis chef/cook to join our vibrant team. See here for more information.
We have a few places left for the beer tasting and quiz on Monday 20th January. Come and test your beer knowledge – if you win you’ll be able to find out how many pints it’s possible to pull in a minute!
Stopped for refreshments on Sunday 29th December:
Our kitchen will be closed from 1st January, reopening on Wednesday 8th January. This will allow our chef Michael to have a well-deserved holiday, and will also give us the opportunity to replace the boiler. The bar will remain open as usual.
Radio Suffolk will be broadcasting live from The Cross Keys on Monday morning at 8:00am in an article about Community Pubs. Please come along to support.
