The Cross Keys Management Committee has considered the government’s announcement that people should avoid pubs, clubs and restaurants, although not yet advising that they close.
Having spoken to staff and volunteers we have, in common with most other community pubs, decided that we will remain open in order to serve the community as best we can. Opening hours may be reduced depending on availability of staff and volunteers, but we’ll keep you informed if this happens.
In addition, we will be working with the village team that is being set up to help Redgrave residents, with the aim of providing take-away and home delivery food and drink.
Staff and volunteers are taking all necessary steps to ensure high cleaning and hygiene standards. We will ask customers to wash their hands on arrival, observe recommended coughing and sneezing etiquette and use contactless payment if possible. Tables and chairs will be spaced out and – weather permitting – we will encourage outdoor eating and drinking. Most events which would normally attract significant numbers to the pub are likely to be cancelled.
We are keeping the situation under constant review and will update you with any changes. In the meantime, thank you for your support.
